One accessory, all photographers should have, is the tripod, do I hear you say OMG do I have to drag one of those around, my answer is a definite yes, they are invaluable, for shooting with, I bought a new one recently, which is light, and a dream to use, it also has a built-in monopod, and if you have a decent photography backpack, some also allow you to put the tripod on the backpack.
For your portable flash, make sure you have one in your camera bag, you never know when a bit of fill light will come in useful. You can also use a couple of them in your studio, as they can be mounted on a tripod, and even put a small softbox over them.
Portable fill flash, either on camera, or a small tripod, of to the side of your camera, that way you can alter your lighting, and introduce modeling shadows, to really good effect.
